Parametrización de hidrogramas mediante interpolantes hermitianos

Num. pages September-December, Hydrograph parameterization is useful in the definition of design floods. Thus, various parameterizations have been proposed in the literature. Nevertheless, their application to the representation of naturally occurring hydrographs is restricted by a number of limitations. This has motivated the authors to develop a polynomial parameterization based on the use of hermitian interpolants, whose main properties are derivative continuity up to a certain order and volume invariance. Such properties are demonstrated in this papel: The procedure is applied to define the form of a synthetic unit hydrograph and to represent a recorded single peak hydrograph.
