The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the Enneagram Program to improve self-understanding which should be preceded in an interpersonal relationship, a factor of successful social life, for university students who were burdened with finding a job at the same time as university life and graduation. The study also enables university students to have a good and stable interpersonal relationship in their own group based on their own understanding. The research participants were 124 university students at N University in Cheonan, who were involved in the Enneagram Program for 8 weeks. The collected data through pre-test and post-test using a self-understanding scale were analyzed using SPSS Win 23.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, as for the effectiveness of the Enneagram Program on the self-understanding of university students, there was a significant difference in self-understanding. As a result of the pre-test and the post-test, significant results were found in sub-factors of the self-understanding test such as stability, goal orientation, role recognition, self-acceptance, and self-assertion. Second, as for analyzing the self-understanding effect of university students by the center of power, the changes, which were common in the brain-centered type, heart-centered type, and body-centered type, showed for stability and self-acceptance in terms of consistent and homogeneous self-recognizing under any circumstances. The results indicate that this study has contributed to enhancing self-understanding.
