Study on nitric oxide content of endometrium in dysfunctional uterine bleeding patients

2006
[Objective] To study the relationship between nitric oxide (NO) and dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) by detecting NO content of healthy person and DUB patients'endometrium and serum. [Methods] A modified copper coated cadium reduction method was used to detection NO2-/NO3- content in endometrium and serum. [Results] NO in DUB patients'endometrium was higher than that of proliferative stage of normal endometrium (P 0.05). There was no difference of NO in serum between DUB and normal groups. [Conclusion] Elevation of NO in DUB patients'endometrium was one of the main reasons that lead to DUB. The change of NO in serum was a partial phenomenon.
