A method of controlling power converters and arrangement for performing the method

The invention relates to a method for controlling power converters needed to reach the counter voltage in a polyphase electrical power transmission network (1) with a multi-phase cable (2). To relatively easily be able to perform a parameterization in various operating states in such a method, the phase currents on the connecting cable (2) are detected and transformed by transformation in positive sequence current components detected voltages at the phases of the supply cable (2) and therefrom by transformation negative sequence voltage components formed are supplied to a voltage regulator. In the voltage regulator (17) serving negative sequence current components are formed for the reduction of the subject system which are fed to a desired value input (28) of a current regulator (9). Positive sequence current components are located on an actual value input (8) of the current regulator (9), the output of which serve sizes by back transformation as switching current for the switching units of the converters. The invention further relates to an arrangement for implementing the method.
