Effect of inhaled natural interferon-alpha on diffuse bronchioalveolar carcinoma

Abstract Six patients with diffuse bronchioalveolar carcinoma confined to the thorax were treated with interferon-alpha by inhalation. The dose was 1 or 6 MU thrice daily. Therapy was continued until the tumour progressed or bronchial hyperreactivity became unacceptable. The treatment was not effective.
