Albumin comprises 50% of the protein content. The physiological functions of serum albumin includes the binding and transport of substances such as fatty acid, ions, thyroxine, bilirubin and amino acids, and the effect on colloid osmotic pressure from the serum albumin accounts for 6080% of the osmotic pressure. Albumin has an effect on vascular permeability, and it has a role as a free radical scavenger and for anticoagulation 1) .
