Method of correcting error in array of complex nmr image data

PURPOSE: To enhance the quality of an image which is produced by using a sequence of echo planar pulses by obtaining rows of NMR data in an array of NMR reference data through substantially no phase encoding with substantially no phase. CONSTITUTION: A method of correcting NMR image data obtained through a sequence of echo planar pulses comprises the steps of obtaining a set of EPI data, obtaining a set of reference data with no application of an inclination of phase encoding, converting data rows in the set of reference data through Fourier-transform so as to obtain a set of reference data, computing a set of phase-corrected data, transforming the set of EPI data through Fourier- transform, correcting the set of transformed EPI data by the use of the phase- corrected set, and transforming the set of corrected EPI data through second orthogonal Fourier transform so as to obtain a set of data. Thus, it is possible to determine errors in the set of EPI data so as to cancel out the errors before the reconstitution of an image.
