Africanizando os acervos: política de gestão de acervos para bibliotecas especializadas na temática afro-brasileira e africana

This article aims to discuss the implementation of a Management Policy of libraries specialized in Afro-Brazilian Studies (NEAB). Through a descriptive and bibliographic methodology, it presents the results of analysis performed on websites and facebook of 159 nuclei and study centers aiming to identify the specialized libraries in the Afro theme. As a result, it presents three specialized libraries found on African and Afro-Brazilian themes related to NEABs and correlates. Finally, based on the script of elements established by Correa (2013), it suggests the adoption of a Management Policy of libraries specialized in the African and Afro-Brazilian themes for insertion in information units.
