Dead zone control combined communication method for trigger signals of flexible DC converter

2011
The invention relates to a dead zone control combined communication method for trigger signals of a flexible DC converter. The method comprises the following steps: a PWM (pulse width modulation) generator in a controller generates trigger pulse signals; the generated trigger pulse signals are transmitted to a transmission control port through an optical fiber line for modulation; the modulated pulse signals are transmitted on the optical fiber line; a receiving port of an IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) gate pole unit receives the pulse signals transmitted from the optical fiber line; restored signals for PWM trigger pulse are generated through the receiving port of the IGBT gate pole unit and output to the optical fiber line for transmission; and a drive circuit triggers the IGBT. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the function of dead zone control is incorporated into the modulation and demodulation process of communication between the controller and the IGBT gate pole unit, so that the controller does not need to carry out the algorithm control for a dead zone while generating PWM signals, and the burdens of the controller are reduced; and an interface between the controller and the IGBT gate pole unit is made more flexible.
