The ubiquitous substance of thiocyanate (SCN - ) regulates life necessary processes in organism. SCN- has an influence on enzyme and hormone metabolism as well as on transport processus at membranes. The characteristics of SCN- are of antiteratgene, anticarcinogene, and immune stimulating nature. Its mechanisms are of interest for human medicine, reproductive and feeding physiology, and animal breeding.
