Occurrence and control of Nysius inconspicus Distant on Amaranthus cruentus

Nysius inconspicus Distant injures Ameranthaceae, as well as Graminaceae and Chrysanthemum.It developes 4-5 generations a year in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. In hot summerl it has long periodsof adult stage, short periods of nymph and egg stage, piling up it's generations, and injures plantskeavily. As in cool autumn, it has long periods of nymph and egg stage, and the injury on plants isnot seriously. Controls were carried out effectively as using agricultural methods combined with sprcading of insecticides.
