Application of 5-axis Machining Function of Siemens 840D System on the Horizontal Machine Center

The main structure parts of the horizontal machining centre,including A axis-spindle swing movement and B axis-NC table rotating movement,were introduced.The machine tool was equipped with Siemens 840D CNC system.The 5-axis machining software package integrated in Siemens 840D CNC system can be used to realize the 5-axis linkage machining of complex surface of airplane parts.
