The Expression and Significance of RET and EDNRB Protein in Hirschsprung's Disease

2006
Objective For discussion on the distribution of RET(RET-protein,RET) and EDNRB(Endothelin-B receptor,EDNRB)protein in Hirschsprung's disease(HD) and its significance and comparing the dyeing of result and characteristics of distributing. Methods Clinicopathologic data were reviewed and immunohistochemical staining was performed for RET and EDNRB using paraffin-embedded tissues from 33 cases of HD patients and 10 normal colon. Results RET was expressed in neurofibra of colon, decreased in narrow segment;EDNRB was expressed in blood vessel of colon;decreased in long and short-type HD and both of them have striking statistical significance(P0.01).Conclusion RET、EDNRB gene are correlated with the development and type of HD,both of them can be used for clinical diagnosis and treatment, and for further study.
