Preventive role of defibrase in progressive ischemic stroke

2004
Objective:To investigate the preventive role of Defibrase in progressive ischemic stroke.Methods:203 patients with cerebral infarction were divided into Defibrase treatment group and routine treatment group randomly within 72 hours of onset. On the basis of routine treatment, Defibrase was used in Defibrase treatment group. The indexes of hemorheology were measured before and after the treatment, the neural function deficits of progressive ischemic stroke patients were also evaluated.Results:10 cases had progressive ischemic stroke in Defibrase treatment group, 24 cases in routine treatment group, thus there was a remarkable difference between the two groups (P0.05). The progressive degree of progressive ischemic stroke was less severe in the Defibrase treatment group than in the routine treatment group (P0.01) and the recent prognosis was better in the Defibrase treatment group(P0.05). The indexes of hemorheology decreased obviously after Defibrase treatment. Conclusions:Defibrase treatment can decrease the incidence of progressive ischemic stroke and favor the recovery of neural function of progressing ischemic stroke patients.
