Immunochemical study of large human intestine acid phosphatases

1974
Abstract 1. 1. The localization and certain characteristics of human acid phosphatases found in large intestine mucosa are studied. 2. 2. Four enzymes with distinct immunological properties are identified. 3. 3. One enzyme has a microsomal origin and the other three a lysosomal origin. 4. 4. The antigenic structure of these acid phosphatases is compared with that of colic tumour, hepatic metastases from colic tumour and several other human tissues; these four antigenic phosphatases studied act like non-specific organ antigens.
