BUOYANCY EFFECT ON 2D CHANNELS- A REVIEW

2016
Buoyancy effect is one of the significant process to be considered while inspecting the flow topology of a fluid in a 2D – channel. The factors to be considered in the evaluation includes the various parameters such as expansion ratio, reattachment length, aspect ratio, heat flux, Reynolds number, geometry of the channel. The behavior of the buoyancy is based on the Prandtl number of the fluid considered and the level of the heat and mass transfer in the fluid during the flow. In this paper several papers have been reviewed with an emphasis on how the buoyancy works on the flow topology in various geometries and the factors controlling the effect of flow in the channels considered.
