Critical Path Method training for facility managers

2014
A 24–contact–hour training program on the Critical Path Method (CPM) was designed, developed, and evaluated by an interdisciplinary team from a university for facility managers of two different manufacturing sites of a large corporation. The CPM Training Program is designed for administrators, project managers, and technical personnel who require skills in CPM to utilise sophisticated scheduling software for managing facilities' projects through effective resource tracking. A detailed description of the CPM Training Program is given. Training limitations and considerations are discussed, as are the general and specific benefits of training in CPM theory and of implementing CPM–based project management systems.
