Occurrence of Keto, Hydroxy and Epoxy Fatty Acids in Argemone mexicana Seed Oil

Minor proportions of hydroxy (ca. 1%), epoxy (ca. 2%, mostly cis but possibly some trans) and keto fatty acids have been detected in fresh Argemone mexicana seed oil by employing a combination of chromatographic and spectrophotometric techniques. Uber das Vorkommen von Keto-, Hydroxy- und Epoxyfettsauren im Samenol von Argemone mexicana Es wurden im Samenol von Argemone mexicana mit Hilfe chromatographischer und spektrophotometrischer Methoden kleine Mengen von Hydroxy- (ca. 1%), Epoxy- (ca. 2%, meist cis, wahrscheinlich etwas trans) und Ketofettsauren nachgewiesen.
