This invention relates to a construction method of thermal insulating wall, which comprises the following steps: (1) processing the basic layer of the wall; (2) screeding in the wall with the thermal insulating board or/ and beating with the thermal insulating slurry; (3) coating and leveling the heat-insulating layer with the thermal insulating slurry; (4) coating mortar as the protecting layer; (5) spread coating the flexible putty; wherein the thermal insulating slurry is made up of coagulation stuff, water, polystyrene foam particle, silane coupling agent in the ratio of 1kg:0.5-1.5kg:5-10liter:0.0003-0.0007kg; the coagulation stuff is made up of cement, calcium hydrate, grammite, coal ash, warp stick clay, redisperse emulsion powder, fabric, high efficiency water reducing agent, accelerant, foaming agent, water-loss reducer, hydrophobic surface activator in a certain ratio.
