Contribuições da otimização de funções polinomiais no ensino médio utilizando recursos computacionais

This project was developed with students from the 3rd grade of high school of an educational Cooperative in the countryside of the state of Sao Paulo, with the aim of verifying the contributions of quadratic functions optimization activities using Geogebra software to observe the variations of the parameters of the function in question. The methodology used was the qualitative research and the data were collected through observation of the researcher and written records produced by students, directed by questions previously prepared by the researcher. The results indicate that, in general, information technology, because it is something present in the daily lives of students and to enable better visualization of the graph associated with the resolution of the problem situation, is a tool that allows an improvement in mathematic content development. The survey also indicated that the fact that the activity had been organized by a tutorial Geogebra, previously developed by the researcher, did not allow the free operation of the software by the students, an important step toward the students’ understanding and increased their interaction with it.
