Problemas del cambio climático a las construcciones tradicionales del pueblo Weenhayek en la región del Gran Chaco boliviano

2021
Background: The deterioration, disuse and abandonment of the traditional constructions of the Weenhayek people are in part the result of the problem of climate change (floods and droughts) in the region of the Bolivian Gran Chaco. Objective: To systematize the parameters that affect the deterioration, disuse and abandonment of the traditional constructions of the Weenhayek people, constitutes the objective of this article. Methods: The research was developed from an integrative analysis using theoretical (historical, logical, induction, deduction) and empirical (scientific observation, experimentation) methods. Results: The parameters of greatest incidence in the analyzed populations are identified as the location of the houses, their design, as well as the materials and techniques used in their construction, considering floods and droughts as the climatic factors with a main impact in the region of the Gran Chaco Boliviano. Conclusions: Analyzing the environmental land use planning, considering these parameters, can provide tools to achieve a balance between what is built or to be built and its nature, be an instrument of adaptation, sustainability and resilience, contribute to the conservation of cultural constructive features and improve the living conditions of the Weenhayek people.
