Poincare´ series, Kloosterman sums, trace formulas, and automorphic forms for GL(n)

Poincare series on GL(n) were first introduced by Bump, the author, and Goldfeld, who studied them in the case n=3 (“Poincare series and Kloosterman sums for SL(3,z)”, Acta Arithmetica, to appear). In this paper they are studied for arbitrary n.
