MAKSİLLOFASİYAL PROTEZLERDE ADEZİVLER-ADHESIVES IN MAXILLOFACIAL PROSTHESIS

OZET Maksillofasiyal protezlerin basarisinda estetik kadar retansiyonunun saglanmasinin da buyuk etkisi vardir. Maksillofasiyal protezleri istenilen pozisyonda tutabilmek icin cesitli adeziv sistemleri vardir. Bunlar, akrilik recine adezivler, silikon adezivler ve basinca duyarli banttir. Gunumuzde en yaygin olarak kullanilan maksillofasiyal protez materyalleri silikon elastomerleridir. Uygun adezivin secimi, protetik materyale ve uygulanacagi dokuya baglidir. Maksillofasiyal protez adezivlerinin birbirinden ustun bircok ozellikleri bulunmaktadir, fakat gunumuzde ideal ozelliklere sahip bir adeziv olmadigi icin daha cok calisma yapilmasi gerektigi dusunulmektedir. There are various adhesive systems to hold the maxillofacial prosthesis in the suitable position. These are acrylic resin adhesives, silicon adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives. Silicon elastomers are the widely used materials nowadays. Choosing the suitable adhesive depends on the prosthetic material and the skin on which to be applied. The adhesives used for maxillofacial prosthesis have many superior properties. However, there is not an adhesive that has ideal properties, so many other studies must be carried on.
