The invention discloses an on-line passive detection method and system for storage battery internal resistance. The method detects that a storage battery is in an equalized charging working state in real time, a sampling module is used for performing sampling on voltages and currents of the battery in real time with high precision, the variable quantity of the voltages and the variable quantity of the currents of the battery are calculated within a specific time interval and are sent to a central processing module, and then by the utilization of the ohm law, the internal resistance of the battery is calculated.
