Prostaglandins VIII: A proposed role for PGE2 in the genesis of stress-induced gastric ulcers☆
1974
Abstract A protective effect on stress-induced gastric ulcers has been d e monstrated for PGE 2 and PGF 2α in rats. Pretreatment with indomethacin 5 mg/kg/per os increases the severity of gastric lesions, but this effect is completely antagonized by PGE 2 administration.
