Sur l'ambiguïté de la notion de porosité en chromatographie d'échange d'ions : Influence de la composition chimique du vecteur

1975
Abstract Ambiguity in the term porosity in ion-exchange chromatography. Influence of the chemical composition of the carrier Measurement of the retention volumes of a non-retained anion and a non-retained cation allows calculation of the external and internal porosities of an ion-exchange resin bed. Using these data, it should be possible to derive true equilibrium constants. The internal porosity of the cation-exchange resin studied increases linearly with the concentration of H + and inversely with the concentration of Na + . It is shown that this is a general property of ion-exchange resins.
