Instrumentierte Pressverdichtung als Werkzeug bei der Entwicklung struktur- und eigenschaftsoptimierter keramischer Granulate
2006
An instrumented compacting tool is described which enables the behaviour of ceramic granulates during uniaxial pressing to be characterized in detail. A system of specific parameters makes it possible to record the effects of variations in powder or granulate properties, technological parameters of granulation, type and concentration of organic additives, changing climatic conditions, and different die materials on the quality of the compact. An example is given for the influence of different binders and lubricants on the properties of the compact, several frictional parameters such as wall and powder friction coefficients and ejection force, compaction energies, elastic relaxation, and the distribution of pressure and shear stresses, which can be measured by means of the instrumented compacting tool.
