The Development of the Image Transmission System in the Air for Determining Damage in a Disaster

2018
The objective in this study is to develop the device to transmit and receive the image of the information in a disaster. When a disaster occurs, it is important to know the situation of the damage as soon as possible. Therefore, local governments has used a helicopter to photograph the damage situation. Moreover, because multicopters are used recently, the cost to photograph has decreased. In the system an operator can check the image photographed by a camera loaded on a multicopter, frequency band whose radio of straightness is strong is usually used. However, the photographed image cannot be transmitted in mountains where a multicopter cannot nave direct view, and there is no choice but to store the image in the memory installed in the multicopter. Therefore, the damage situation cannot be known only after the multicopter comes back to the operator. In order to reduce such time lag, the transmitting the image by using a transceiver module which is 920[MHz] band was tried. In this study, the experiment of transmitting and receiving in mountains and the development of the transceiver are reported and problems found in the experiment is described.
