Activity Chamber and Computerized Data Acquisition System for Monitoring Crawling Insects

1987
The combination of an insect activity chamber using interrupted infrared light beams and a microcomputer to monitor activity of a crawling insect, adult black vine weevil, Otiorhynchus sulcatus (F.), is described. The microcomputer provides television screen monitoring of the weevil's location and time at each location, and transfers data to a cassette tape recorder.
