Method and apparatus for hydrothermal Karbonisirung

2011
Process for the hydrothermal carbonization are already since the invention by Friedrich Bergius in 1913 basically known. Typically, such methods are either operated as a continuous process, which is to be controlled very expensive and heavy due to required in the process of pressure differences, or as a discontinuous so-called single-batch processes which proceed to completion in a reactor and, therefore, owing to the need for a passage time are rather inefficient. This should eliminate the invention. This is achieved by a multi-batch process in which each step is performed in a separate, largely decoupled in terms of pressure and temperature tank. In this way, the process control is considerably simplified. For a long process steps also more tanks can be made available so that all components are utilized efficiently.
