ÍNDICE DE VARIAÇÃO DO PREÇO ASSISTENCIAL DE UMA COOPERATIVA DE SAÚDE – IVPA

Public and supplementary health systems have been marked by events that threaten the sector's long-term sustainability. Interest in the evolution of healthcare costs has become a global phenomenon due to the lack of an indicator that reflects the real inflation of health and that can assist in the analysis and management of the price variations. This work presents an index of variation in the amounts paid for services and medical-hospital supplies of a health cooperative. The index was estimated based on index-numbers. We used the methodology applied to the Price Indices to the Broad Producer of Internal Availability (IPA-DI), of the Getulio Vargas Foundation. Among the results found, they highlight the valorization of the medical act, the impact of legislation, the incorporation of new technologies and the inflation of health services and supplies. The model raises some important technical and operational challenges: the management model, the qualification of structure and process, data quality improvements, automatization of the methodology, the creation of reports and management panels and the spread of knowledge through the organization.
