A Study of the Effects of Arecaline Hydrobromide on the Dispersed Colonic Smooth Muscle cells in Rats

2004
To study the kinetogenic effects of Ah on colonic smooth muscle cells of rats and explore the contractile mechanism, smooth muscle cells were isolated from the colon of the rat, and the contractile response of colonic smooth muscle cells to Ah and the effects of other medicines were separately observed. Results: Ah can make dose dependent contraction with the concentration range from 1 10 6 mol/L to 1 10 3 mol/L , the concentration of the maximal response is 1 10 3 mol/L. contraction caused by Ah could be inhibited by Atropin and EGTA, inhibition by Regidine and TMB 8 is not significant. It is showed that the contraction caused by Ah is mediated by M receptor and depends on the presence of extracellular calcium.
