Benzophenone having antifungal activity

PURPOSE: To provide a novel benzophenone that has a high antifungal activity and is useful as fungicidal agents in agricultural field. CONSTITUTION: The compd. of the formula I [R 1 , R 2 are each a 1-6C alkyl, 7-10C aryl alkyl, a heterocycle together with N, etc.; A is benzene; Y is a 6-10C aryl, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; R 3 , R 4 are each H, a 1-3C alkyl; K is 0, methylene); for example, 4-[3-(3-benzoylphenyl)-2-methylpropyl]-2,6-dimethylmorpholine (cis- isomer), is obtd. by reacting a carbonyl compd. of formula II with an amine of formula III in cyanosodium boron hydride and a protonic solvent (e.g.; methanol) at a temp. of -5 to 25°C.
