Application of Symphony in 2×600MW Supercritical Power Units

The main components of the 2×600MW supercritical power units of a power plant are introduced,the network communication architecture of the latest DCS Symphony of ABB is also presented,and the applications of Symphony on the supercritical units are analyzed.The configuration features of the DCS and the main functions implemented by DCS are discussed,some measures to improve reliability are pointed out,and the main control loops of the units are analyzed.Operation results show that the system is stable and has high reliability.The successful operation of the DCS will be a reference for the analysis and design of similar power units.
