Zastosowanie techniki FISH do diagnozy chimeryzmu leukocytarnego u owiec

2003
The syntenic homology of the X chromosome in cattle and sheep (which has its background in genetic conservatism) enables the use of a bovine painting molecular probe in the FISH technique for indentifying the X chromosomein cattle, as well as in related species. This makes it possible to diagnose aberrations concerning the number of heterosomes and translocations involving sex chromosomes. Taking advantage of this capacity, an attempt was made to use a molecular probe obtained by the microdissection of a bovine metaphase X chromosome to identify the X chromosome on the metaphase plate of a sheep derived from different-sex triplets. Hybridization of the bovine probe painting the X chromosome with ovine chromosomes revelaed two clear signals on 54,XX plates and one in 54,XY cells.
