mm-Wave MIMO Channel Modeling and Estimation

New technology adopted for wireless communication in order to get high data rate nearing 1 Gb/s is achieved by multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) in combination with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The new physical layer technologies for 5G wireless communications are mm-wave wireless communication, massive MIMO, full-duplex radio technology, filter bank multicarrier (FBMC), and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). In this paper, millimeter wave (mm-wave) communications have been discussed with respect to MSE versus SNR. The capacity of conventional MIMO and hybrid MIMO is compared.
