The present invention discloses a high-speed DC electric railway catenary system and ice melting apparatus, the apparatus comprising: two input AC switching unit rectifier transformer, rectifier and control and protection unit, the switching unit and the DC reactive power compensation unit, rectifier transformer respectively and the secondary side of the first end and the second traction power supply transformer substation through the AC line is connected to the switching unit, is connected to the other input terminal grounded tank with ground substation transformer rectifier, the output of the rectifier transformer and a control unit connected to the rectifier protection, the rectifier and the control output of the protection unit of catenary lines connected to downlink and uplink DC by the switching unit respectively, heated to melt ice catenary, and reactive compensation is connected at the output of rectifier transformer means for reactive power compensation and harmonic control. The present invention achieves the feature set systematic, safe and convenient and efficient operation and maintenance at the same time, flexible installation.
