A Case of Familial Hypercholesteremic Xanthomatosis

1989
A case of a thirty-eight-year-old female patient with xanthomatosis is presented. She complained of multiple tumors of the extremities. The tumors are sited over the extensor side and almost adhered to extensor tendons. She had also hypercholesteremia, but her mother and sister have same tumors and hypercholesteremia. The analysis of serum lipoprotein revealed familial hypercholesteremia type-IIa. With her will, tumors in bilateral elbows and leff digit were excised.
