Coma due to cannabis toxicity in an infant

In young children, cannabis ingestion resulting in coma isvery rare. Only nine cases have been reported in theliterature and most have occurred in inquisitive toddlers.We review the cases to date and report the youngestrecorded case of coma due to cannabis ingestion in an 11-month-old girl. This case highlights the importance ofconsidering toxicological causes and the parental recrea-tional drug history in young children who present with analtered level of consciousness.
