Особенности современного течения инфекционного эндокардита

Clinical, laboratory and echocardiography diagnostic criteria of primary and secondary infectious endocarditis (IE) were studied in 97 patients. Modern characteristics of IE are: prevalence of primary IE, of subacute IE, increasing IE risk for intravenous drug abusers, nosocomialis IE (prosthetic). The disease is growing older. The diagnosis of IE is still late. The treatment of culture-negative endocarditis is discussed.
