Foot Injuries Outcomes Analysis
2020
Common complications following talus and calcaneus fractures and dislocations include subtalar and/or tibiotalar arthrosis, soft tissue injury, instability, and hindfoot stiffness. These injuries are relatively uncommon but can result in significant morbidity for patients. Several foot-specific outcome scores have been developed to accurately determine patient function and satisfaction following treatment. These include the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Clinical Rating System, Short Form-36 (SF-36) Health Survey, Foot Function Index (FFI), and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Outcomes Instruments.
