Limitations of Ultrasonography in the Diagnosis of Upper Tract Urinary Obstruction

Although ultrasound is usually the imaging modality of choice to identify hydronephrosis secondary to obstruction, it may be unreliable in some cases of acute obstruction. We describe one such case.
