Recuperación de la memoria histórica de la parroquia Quimiag (Riobamba, Ecuador) a través del registro del patrimonio cultural inmaterial

This work is aimed at rescuing the intangible cultural heritage of Quimiaq, where the inhabitants become the protagonists of the various emblematic sociocultural manifestations that have identified the parish since its foundation. For this reason, rescuing the intangible and historical cultural heritage becomes an investigative challenge with the purpose of strengthening the sociocultural identities in children and young people. The ethnographic research methodology used from the historical, cultural and educational approach, is implemented the ethnographic-formative method that runs in the stages: Preactive and Active, as well as instruments and techniques for collecting information: field work, participant observation, fact sheets. INPC registry, unstructured interviews. All this leads us to the patrimonial registry of the parish for its subsequent inventory in the SIPCE platform, in addition to strengthening the socio-cultural and historical identities in the educational units, as well as the generational dialogue to preserve the collective memory and heritage knowledge among the inhabitants.
