Risk behaviours for infection with HIV and hepatitis C virus among people who inject drugs in Regina, Saskatchewan.

2007
The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR) in collaboration with the Centre for Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), implemented an I-Track, enhanced surveillance system to monitor risk behaviours among people who inject drugs (IDU). I-Track consists of repeated, cross-sectional surveys of IDU from urban and semi-urban centres across Canada and provides critical information for those involved in planning and evaluating the response to programs to combat HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) infection among IDU.
