On English Hypotaxis and Chinese Parataxis

Hypotaxis and Parataxis is one of the most distinctive differences between English and Chinese,which is attributed to the different thought patterns of English and Chinese,i.e.analytic vs.synthetic.Such differences are elaborated from three levels: lexicon,grammar and structure,with particular analysis of the grammatical level from various perspectives.
