Contrastes sobre elasticidades en el modelo de producción frontera: un enfoque metodológico

The econometric models can be used as an instrument for the study of structural parameters either interpreting its estimated values or testing whether some restrictions are properly fulfilled or not. In addition, the researchers often need to conduct an investigation into these economic magnitudes that in most of the econometric specifications, do not usually coincide with the parameters, although they are, nevertheless, functions of the same This is the case of the elasticities which are often functions of the said parameters as well as depending on the sample point. In this work we show a procedure that allows us to carry out the above tests paying special attention to the stochastic frontier model. We accomplish the method as a particular case of the general constrains tests over the structural parameters, even considering the non- neutral model.
