The expression of peripheral blood lymphocytes Kv1.3 channel in patients with hypertension in Xinjiang Kazakh

Objective To study the expression changes of voltage-gated potassium channel Kv1.3 from peripheral blood lymphocytes of patients with hypertension in Xinjiang Kazakh.Methods Twenty hypertension outpatients without antihypertensive drug from September 2010 to June 2011 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were randomly assigned to the hypertension group,with a mean age of(50.2 ± 3.8) years.Twenty healthy people at the same period were chosen as the control group,with a mean age of(49.1 ± 3.6) years.There were respectively 10 men and women in the two groups.The peripheral blood lymphocytes were collected.The expression levels of lymphocyte Kv1.3 channels gene and protein were detected by the technology of real time quantitative PCR(RT-PCR) and western blotting respectively.Results The expression levels of Kv1.3 channels mRNA and protein in the hypertension group were all higher than the control group\[(0.063±0.008) vs(0.008±0.007),(0.835±0.067) vs(0.250±0.068),P0.01\].Conclusion The expression of lymphocytes Kv1.3 channel is increased in patients with hypertension in Xinjiang Kazakh
