Effect of Qingdaisan on ulcerative colitis in rats

Objective: To investigate the effect of Qingdaisan on experimental ulcerative colitis.Methods: The rat model of ulcerative colitis was established by using trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS).HE staining was performed,and pathological sections were prepared.The effect of Qingdaisan was evaluated by histopathological examination.Results: The histopathological examination showed that the infiltration level of inflammatory cells markedly decreased after the administration of Qingdaisan.Conclusion: Qingdaisan has a protective effect on the ulcerative colitis in rats.
