1. IntroductionPatients with cardiac injuries surviving cardiorrhaphy must bemonitored for delayed sequelae. One possible complication, muralthrombus, has been described in the literature following bluntchest trauma, but it is very rare following penetrating trauma [1–3].We present the case of a cardiac thrombus and massive acutepulmonary embolism with cardiac arrest following cardiorrhaphyto repair a right ventricular penetrating injury.2.
