A study of the friction characteristics of a Langmuir-Blodgett film of a MoS2/behenic acid mixture

1993
Abstract This paper reveals the distributions of Mo and S elements and the micrographs and structures of MoS 2 /BA Langmuir-Blodgett films by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, based on studies of the effect on the frictional property of the load and the sliding speed. The results show that the friction coefficient changes as the load and sliding speed increase. The particles of MoS 2 are well distributed and have a preferred orientation along (002).
